CU1623 - Couples Telephone to Excell Sound System Key Benefits
The CU1623 Excell Sound to Telephone Coupler provides a means of interfacing the Excell Sound system to the standard telephone system. The CU1623A Excell Sound to Telephone Coupler was designed for use in a relay cabinet. The CU1623 coupler provides a means of interfacing the standard “Bell” telephone to an ES (Excell Sound) system. A ring signal is detected on the selected number of rings, from two to eight. The voice message is then coupled to the ES page line for a minimum of six seconds. To answer, any ES station goes off-hook and selects the particular party line to which the coupler is connected. The systems are then coupled through a hybrid and will provide party line communication until the handset is placed back on-hook. If the call is not answered in one minute, a timer will automatically hang-up by de-energizing the KOH relay. The page relay and page LED may stay energized at this time, but it is of no consequence since the KOH relay has disconnected the units. This is an easy way to check for proper operation of the ES system. If the calling party hangs up, an KLS relay disconnects the systems by de-energizing the KOH relay. An access and disconnect switch and plug-in terminals are provided for selection of desired operation.
